Hunting for New Thing in 2017

My blur face when my boss talks to me at work.

Hola!

Second week of January and I can see the traffic during weekends when people start to shop for Chinese New Year! Another reason to shop. Heh! Chinese New Year is for the Chinese to celebrate their new lunar calendar (if I'm not mistaken LOL). It is a big deal for those who celebrates.

Disappointment

Hola!

Hi guys.. I'm still good. Been transitioning this month so I'm still busy coping with my new environment at work and also life after work especially weekends. But I'll go through that later on when I have more opportunity to. Hang on okay? I just need to let this out right now.

Have you guys said this to anyone - "Don't disappoint me"?

For Every Single Cents

Hola!

Coins. Coins. Coins. I used a lot of coins when I was younger. Duh. Of course I did. Back in my days 50cents were considered huge - in size and value. I love keeping all the coins. Probably I've been seeing my dad keeping it inside his drawer and it was so cool to see his stack of coins. It's like he's collecting all sorts of each year and designs.

The Weight of Give and Take

Holla!

Cheers to Monday. Been thinking about give and take. What's the weight of giving or taking should a person carry.

My dad used to tell me that it's more blessed to give than be given. Of course I never see the sense of it. I've always been amazed how he did it. And even doing it. How can he give so much but been given so little. Or that's how I 'see' it. He explained that he was never after earthly desires. He is after something that lasts even longer than after life. Probably this is how he can be casually generous.

It's pretty hard to measure how much weight can a person give, nor take. Compromise, they say. Some people give most of their lifetime. But then, there are people who takes from others and takes only. So unfair yes. But it's been awhile the world had turned unfair, no? Taking is fun. Taking without terms and condition is even more fun.

Yet, from dad's perspective, giving is fun too. It's true.. But I probably would need loads of meditation to reach his level. Every time I'm giving a little, it feels like people is sucking a huge chunk out. It's pretty tiring. Dad never really gave me a Part II lesson on "Where to replenish the 'giving'" but I think I'll figure that out soon.

Perhaps, I've been taking too much. Complaining about being given too much. Pfft. Taking can be scary too. Scared of not holding it on strong enough that it slips out.

If everybody wants to take more than they should, pity to those who had to do the other way round.

Just for fun (:

I never worry, life is a journey

Work Obsession, Good or Bad.

Holla!

Last day of July! Since I'll be busy for the whole August, might as well I spend a short while writing something. Heh.

Being obsessed with work. Good or bad? I say, it all depends on how you look at it.

It's good, when you know where you're going to with your work and you are working towards the result(s) your expecting when you first started. Because at the end of the day, you'll be the one to feel good about it. All the hard work you've poured in, will eventually paid off.

It's bad, when you're working in a demotivating environment. Probably places that you don't like that much, or with people/colleague you can't even have a simple conversation with. So, when you're obsessed with work at these kinda environment, you're literally forced to be obsessed with the workloads.

It's good, when you really really love what your doing, and at the same time you knew you're good at what you're doing. The latter reason would be a great bonus. A lot of people that I know doesn't realise what they really want to do with their lives. Hence I admire those who tells me they love their job and the effect they can emit with their work.

It's bad, when I see people are obsessed with their work just for the sack of a living. They just go with the flow, like ants. And they can get really absorbed in their work. These people will just get stuck in a spot forever.

I hope those who reads this will have a thought of it too. I know, you might be saying it's easy for me to say when I have thousands of mouths to feed at home. But...... think again. As late Steve Job once said

"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it."

At the meantime, stay crazy!

My life, your life
Don't cross them lines
What you like, what I like
Why can't we both be right?
Attacking, defending
Until there's nothing left worth winning
Your pride and my pride
Don't waste my time

Enough is Never Enough

Holla!!

Today was super exhausting. Woke up at 7am and rushed to office as my customers were waiting. Cut story short, everything was settled and I finally crossed another errand from my check list. Then I realised there are a lot more that I have to learn. Much more unexpected questions, bigger problems to be solved.

What I thought was I would be familiarise with my work after 6 months (Cheh...confident) yet I was wrong. Which I wasn't supposed to be surprised about it. Hah. Like the old saying, "Learning is a life long process".

I get frustrated easily when I couldn't handle a situation/scenario well. Maybe it's just me but I need everything to be done according to plan. Including solving a problem with the best solution. And all these I have to spend a great deal of time thinking, evaluating, figuring out the ultimate solution.

Well, the good side is at least I'm making use of my brain. Or anything that's left inside. I just learnt a lot more this month. I wish I could write more, but too bad my head is spinning from lack of sleep. Boo.

Be back soon.

Reminded

Hola!

A real decent girl actually reminded me of my blog. Macam lah she got update pun (you know who you are LOL) But yeah, thanks for the reminder and here I am, writing again. Miss scribbling down stuffs and releasing my feelings here, with a nice few sips of Hot Chocolate.

My work has been consuming most of my time. Okay okay, same shit all the time but sometimes it's good. Especially the part where I can get distracted from having useless thoughts. It's already the end of May and I keep going, chasing for my goals. A little scary and challenging but in a good way :)

Change. I started to feel changes in my life. Like some sort of a preparation to place a commitment. It's like snakes shedding. Nervous but excited at the same time. It's about time for me to have this plan anyway. And that leads to my first tattoo soon! :D Can't wait for it to happen this year! *fingers crossed*

Other than that, I miss my family! And I miss getaways! I wonder where will I be travelling this year. Heh. Not sure if I will be at the same time. Will be back soon!

Hold on tight,
This ride is a wild one,
Make no mistake,
The day will come when you can't cover up what you've done,
Now don't lose your fight, kid,
It only takes a little push to pull on through,
With so much left to do;
You'll be missing out, and we'll be missing you.

Relieved with Closure

Holla!

April has been different. Due to some personal issues, I've been thinking a lot. About myself, my life, my family, my friends. I've learnt something new. Although I've had my closure, yet it kept me wondering about the new questions I've never thought I would have to think about.

To be honest, I love the life I'm living now. Never been better. I'm appreciating everyone and everything I have in hand. There's nothing I would change, for now. I've came across massive quotes and sayings about being strong and to go on with life. I love them all. Those powerful words moved me towards the person I am becoming.

And I really do believe in karma. I've seen it happened twice and recently witness another. God indeed is fair. I'm much better now. Grateful too. Well, I'll be busy with my work again. Will definitely write again when I have the time to. Miss me!

Post Laparotomy Days

Holla!

It's been three week since my surgery, coming four to be exact. I became bored at week three, and started going out for short walks or dinner after that. Now I have no problem going out shopping but still need to stop and rest whenever I can. Heh.

Sounds fun. Well it does, during the day. But at night it's not much better. It's either waking up a few times or not sleeping for few hours. I couldn't shut down at night, mentally while physically awake in the morning. Geez.

Today and yesterday was much better. Managed to sleep much better than before. Woke up at 5am today, but it's  still good. (:

Seriously I don't know how did I managed to get through the nights. With cautious turnings on the bed, waking up to pee, even trying to stand up after laying on the bed for quite a while. Each of my meals had been cut off to half the portion, limited clothes to wear due to the wound site (basically just three) walking like a turtle. Maybe my walks are comparable to a young turtle.

I just wish now that these days will soon disappear and I would resume my usual life again. Not that I'm not grateful I got rid of the pain, but.... I guess I just want more.

First Page for 2015

Holla!

I am not alone. Thank you 2014, for making me realise two most important thing this (2014) year:-

#1. My friends who love me dearly.

#2. My deep fear.

So for now, 2015, let's get the first page started. Heh.

How 2014 Ends

Holla!!

For those who doesn't know, I'm from Sabah - Borneo of Malaysia. I've been living in KL for 3 years now (approx. 4). Feels like forever. People do ask if I ever go back to Sabah for good. Well... I don't think so (but I'll keep my options open).

My life have been a so-called-roller-coaster life. So much had happen that I sometimes just can't figure out how did I manage myself being in Kuala Lumpur for this long. Without relatives or family with me.

But I'll share what Kuala Lumpur has taught me within these few years. Hands up if you feel the same way too, okay? Okay.

#1. Kuala Lumpur is crazy.

I'm not sure how crazy are you staying in this huge city despite all the politics, rallies, rapes, kidnappings, road bullies but I WENT BANANAS! When I first got my car back in 2012, I tell myself I'll drive as nice as possible, just be normal. Geez, if only all drivers are Jesus! I've never been feeling as good as shyt when I honk at reckless drivers or swear at them as if they can hear every single beeped word I shouted out. LOLL! That poor motorbike guy. Okay now I'll apologize.

I thank God and people who have been praying for my safety in KL. It may sound easy but especially for my parents, I know that they are constantly worried about me being alone here. My dad would call and said he read in the news that some dude fell into a pit hole in Germany or tsunami in Thailand and tells me to be careful. Oh my... I didn't know I'm all over the world. But yeah, I'm taking every precautions to keep myself safe too. Even when I forgot to lock my car, I'll double check if there's any crazy dude hiding in my boot. XD

And I don't even want to get started with the food here!

#2. Kuala Lumpur taught me to be a lone ranger.

Regardless you have a car accident or a car breakdown or you're too dead to see a doctor, at the end of they day, you are THE ONLY ONE who could rise up and move on with your life. You may get sympathy from people but there's no help given of you don't help yourself at the first place.

KL is so selfish that I learnt to rather scratch my own scars than to have people scarring it even deeper than it already is. From simple things e.g. picking furnitures to picking clothes in H&M to getting workloads done at work or asking help from people. All by your own decisions.

The reason is, people will always say the good things about you, things that you want to hear. But the ugly truth is never known until you reflect on your freaking life by the end of the year and say F*CK.

P E O P L E  A R E   J U S T  T H A T  C O M P L I C A T E D .

#3. Kuala Lumpur changes your appearance.

It's funny but yet it's really true. Haha! All my life, I have been a loose-tee-boot-cut-jeans kinda girl. I've never been bothered to dress for occasions or to pick a casual wear for an hour. Meh. But staying in KL...*pergh* Everything IS about appearance! I learnt to be more alert on fashion styles, upcoming season's collection, looking at people's weird outfit (and laughs at my owns). Sephora, ZARA, H&M, Benefits, Burberry, Prada sounds so good to my ears.

But so far my life changing appearance queen goes to my BRACES. Haha! It changes my look a lot. But still look like a man (blame my dad for giving me such huge nose)

If I've been in Sabah now, I wouldn't be good to myself. I wouldn't get the quote of "treating yourself better". I'd still be the same ol' kampung girl living a dull life.

(But you will be lucky to have a couple of friends who are willing to go through all these sh*t with you. And I'm glad I do have!)

Obsessed With Writing

Hola!!!

Can someone be so obsessed with writing that they can do it whole day long? Well I think I'm not that serious yet. #deniallevel100 But I really love writing. Not professionally, but in a fun way. I used to keep diaries - on and off. I don't know why it happens but it does. XD As much as I wanted my diaries to last forever, it always stop in between.

OKAY, for now I blame work. Hah.

Again, I was inspired particularly by @happiescrappie's instagram to write again. Her feed is just too much cuteness! All the stickers and handmade planners and.......everything! Cuteness overload! I remember when I was teaching few years back I had loads of sticky notepads and colour pens too. And quite a number of notebooks, filofax. I'll grab anything related to 'cute'. WTM..

Let's just say it's a good excuse to stay home. Or something to occupy my time when I'm home especially during weekdays. But not that I'm obliged to. I just really love all these stuffs. :) Can this be categorise as a hobby? LOL.

It's better to stay put at home, right?

When You Are Distant.

Hola!

Friends. They are always torn between something - work, relationships, anything else that fits. But they will be the one that entertain you the most (sometimes the other way round), have fun, stress free and everything that rhymes with HAPPY.

It's so much different from being a uni student and working adults.  You tend to spend less and lesser time with the crowd of friends. And eventually the crowd becomes a smaller group of friends that stays with you. I guess that's what they say about true friendship. :) I try my best to meet up with them whenever I have time. To have great time, sipping coffee and.......taking #selfies. LOL kidding. Selfies aren't invented back when I met these bunch of brats. Haha! But yeah... I always enjoy my time with them, regardless where we spent our time together.

I also try to occupy my weekends meeting friends. You know, to catch up. I recently have the thought that if I spend too much time alone, sleeping off at home, it'll be such a waste. I mean, I WILL be sleeping forever someday, right? Why don't use up all the time I have now to keep more happy moments? Even my brain's memory is fully packed. WTM..

I do feel bad if I didn't meet them for awhile. Start to miss the silly jokes and chats. Can't move them far from me. I tied a red string on them to me. They are mine! Forever! Hahahaa.. (sounds pretty sick)

So, happy week ahead and may the best comes for the second half of the year! I love the second half! Too much holidays for me to bare! Can't breathe! LOL!

Be happy!

I Really Do Complain Much

Hola!!

Sometimes I like to complain. Girls right. Girls need to complain. About everything - clothes, food, people, services. But sometimes, when people complain to me, I would go "Alaa... It's like that one la". You know, like the huge gap of differences you (and I) and celebrities get, especially when it comes to CUSTOMER SERVICES.

I do understand that "They are famous people ma, they need to advertise for the company". But don't they get it that you (and I) too have to PAY for their services? What rationale is that when celebrities get sponsored and receives tremendous services while people (you and I) who actually PAID for it gets the opposite of it?

I seriously have no clue how to get the sense out of it. Hmph.

See.
Girls = Complains.

Anyway, a couple of shots to share today..

#1 Hot Chocolate - From Plan B, Paradigm Mall. This is like my second home. LOL.. I can practically memorize where is Subway, H&M, ZARA, Uniqlo etc. Hahaa..! (time belajar tak hebat macam ini?) But I had this hot chocolate which other than the outlooks of it, I'm not impressed at all. And their food..... Pfft.

#2 Kimchi Jiggae Set - From Daorae Express, Paradigm Mall. Definitely not the best in taste but it suits my taste and.... It's not that bad. I had their sets a couple of times and they really do mean it with the word EXPRESS. *thumbs up*

#3 "I-DON'T-EVEN-WANT-TO-REMEMBER-WHAT-I-ORDERED" - From Library, Damansara Uptown. Terrible drinks, horrible place (upstairs) as it's extremely hot with only fans instead of coolers or air cond. My friends and I were literally SWEATING at the sofa and chairs! Drinks and cake were out of the standard. Waste of money. Geram.

Nah, the big-nosed complain-er

I'm Feeling Blue

Hola!

I'm feeling quite blue lately. As blue as the sky I captured the other day. Maybe because of work, crazy hot weather, more work, PMS..? Lol.. Or maybe everything.

At work, I'm doing things I don't like at the moment - graphs and calculations involved. So tensed up when I couldn't get it right. Pfft! That's the reason WHY I dropped Add Maths, Physics and everything related back in high school! >:/ You know that feeling when you just hate it, you will always do? That's me. It's like durian, you either love it or hate it. You can't be in the middle or have this love-hate relationship, right?

Whenever I see/hear/dream of these little tiny numbers and graphs, I just feel......... YUCK.

The weather. Uugghh.. Do I even need to start. Such bad weather! Too hot for me! Sometimes I rather sleep in the office than to come home in this steamy, burnt house! And I've had countless sleepless nights due to the extra super boiling hot weather that woke me up without shame!

W-W-W-W-W-H-H-H-H-H-H-H-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am I the only foolish person in the universe to have NO air cond in my room!? >:/

OKAY, PMS iz onz. >>>:/

But anyway, my brain is too burnt to write anything readable. Pardon me. I shall be back with something. Soon.

stupid sleepy face.

This Is All I Know, Malaysians

Hola!

Dear all,

This is a political post that I'm about to share. Though I rarely write about political issues, today, I have the urge to express myself as a Malaysian. And I'll tell you what I know.

#1. I'm been noticing friends in Facebook posting/sharing too much of political posts and comments and statuses either about the government or the oppositions or anything-that-can-relate-to-Malaysia's-politics. And you try to kinda "dig and expose" Malaysia's dirty little secrets regardless about the politicians themselves, the dead, the sons, the daughters, the great grand daughters or even the politician's daily food intake (geeez..dramatik giler). You love your dear country and hence you NEED the world to know every single detail, I get it. Don't we all love our country?

#2. I felt very very offended (don't know since when) that nowadays some of my friends people started saying "..that Malays lah" or " si Cina tu...". I don't get it. Why should it be labels of 'Malay', 'Chinese', 'Indian'? And all those political posts that you shared, are those suppose to make me feel rebellious to my country or what? Or to make me support racism? Are the posts teaching me how to hate my dear friends from different backgrounds and races? How could I? Or either, how could you? Haven't you been living among together all this while? Haven't Malaysia been different cultures and colours all these years? How could one be so cold-blooded in a blink? All I know is it has done nothing good to me. And I felt sorry for those who starts to agree with all the racial posts, comment about it and share it in a very disgusted way.

#3. Dear politicians, aren't you suppose to be helping the people instead of making mocking and racist statements? Rationing, education, poverty, medical and health, living expenses, economy's growth... All these are under your care. Malaysians count on you to make it better. Yet you and yes most of you, with the title and position, abuse all the power that you have to hurt Malaysian's heart. All I know is I've been very disappointed to all of the current politicians as I read the papers, watch the news and follow their Facebook updates regardless which party are they from.

Where would I go if you kick me out of my country? I bet China won't be accepting me since they're already pack. Besides, I don't have any martial art talent or a superbrain that can invent extraordinary inventions. And as far as I'm concerned, I've only heard of the great tsunami but not Chinese tsunami so I assume it's much awesome than the first one.

Which part of Malaysia will actually be Malaysia again if you kick everybody out of here? Seriously, Malaysia will be truly Asia with all us gone? 'Cause for all I know you'll be kicking all the wanton soup, char kuey teow, chapati, naan etc all away. And would you be kicking angmoh people too? Then you'll have no Nando's, TGIF, Fish & Co., red velvet cakes. And all you have left is what, nasi lemak, lemang and hang tuah? What about public holidays? Are you going to take away the Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Wesak, Thaipusam, Christmas holidays just because we don't belong here?

This is, for sure, not the Malaysia that I've been living in, or any other tourists that came for a visit. We have our unique culture, remember? The one that the world used to talk about - different cultures in one, instead of ridiculous bomoh or insulting statements?

#4. All I know is it didn't matter who I voted or who we will vote in future. What matters to me is,

Are these people going to serve the country and help fellow Malaysians?

Or are they just being voted to curse and mock and throw responsibilities to each other? Do the politicians truly understand the help that Malaysian had been screaming, the need that Malaysian had been yelling? Is it really more important to win a debate than to lend a hand to the Malaysians in need right at this second? Don't they get the saying that "It takes two to argue but only one to stop?"

#5. I'm not sure if my colleagues at work or friends I've met secretly hate me due to massive brainwash by all the negative, racist, evil posts but how much can I care for? All I know is I dislike the situation I'm seeing now, happening at my own country - Malaysia.

#6. I went to a government primary school, a mission secondary school, moved on to a government school for my STPM and currently working at a government-private hospital. So basically I don't hang around with only Chinese community. The people whom I grew up with (?), they never tell me to stay away from them. I've had sleepovers at my "Malay" friend's house and painted my "Indian" friend nails. So what. Am I going to be hanged for doing that?

All I know is back where I grew up, we were all the same. We ate lunch together, changed clothes (only girls) together, gossiped together, practised netball together and studied together. Sometimes, we would talk about the "Misteri Nusantara" tv show or how ugly my Math's teacher's brows or how eerie the Pengajian Am's teacher's dandruff tangling around her hair.

I still do keep in touch with them regardless their races and religions. Why would I be bothered by that anyway? I was never being taught to hate other skin colour or to tease them. I was never told to despise their religion ever. I really have no idea where did it came from. All the posts that people write and share is so very depressing and it just saddens me to see the changes happened in Malaysia.

#7. I may not be the most patriotic person in the country nor I contributed anything at all (besides my laziness LOL). I mumbled my weekly Rukun Negara principles in school and sang the incomplete Negaraku  but all I know is that I've practiced every word in it and I will always do. There is not a way that those posts that you shared will change my view on my people and I hope all of you will do the same too. All I know is I am born in an environment where there are:-

Different races of friends,
Different types of religions,
Different types of skin colour,
But all united together.

Malaysia was so beautiful and homey to me. I don't know since when it started to change. I don't know where is it heading to.

But I've told you what I knew. :(

Dad Inspired Story #2

Hola!!

"I'm sitting here. in a boring room..."
.
.
.
.
.
LOLL... I was starring at my laptop for a while when I heard the squeaky sound of my door and inspired me to write something.

WTM.

Just kidding... I wanted to dye my hair (again, yes again) but due to the rules in the hospital, I can't. And it reminded me about one of my dad's stories he used to tell.

When he was a little boy, he and his siblings would be very excited to get a haircut. As my dad's family was kinda poor (or probably REALLY poor), they don't get their hair cut that often. Don't even think about styling their hair.

So when it was time to cut their hair, my grandma would give them 5cents (HA HA! Currency those days....) and they (my dad and siblings) happily walked each other for quite a distance to reach the barber shop. Mainly boys will get a haircut more often compared to the girls as dad mentioned that grandpa doesn't like to see the hair grow more than the ear length. He wants them to have clean and neat haircut. And when they were done, they walk all the way home with a wide grin.

I really love how dad finds pleasure in everything that he did and own since he was young. And I believe that is why he has been the man that I look up to when I was and is trying to learn "How to appreciate everything that you have". Imagine a boy getting a hair cut is like winning a lottery. At least that was how I imagine of him when he told me this story.

He is just as amazing as this.

Not a lot of people nowadays understand the true meaning of appreciation. Even if they knew, seldom would apply. Especially with the temptation of the advanced gadgets, luxurious lifestyle etc. I, myself would be blurred by these evil temptations too. Hence I'm really grateful that my dad would be the one who reminds me about

GIVING THANKS

and

ENOUGH is ENOUGH.

Of Childhood, Dogs and Cafes.

Hola!

I've never really introduced myself as a blogger, at least not officially. I don't tell people "Oh hey, I am a blogger and I blog at bla bla blaa...".

I don't know. Maybe I'm not.

I do see a lot of lifestyle and beauty bloggers promoting products, writing reviews etc but I don't do that ( not that I have any pun LOL). But telling people I'm a 'blogger', really, gives me chills. My english is....... "half bucket water" and I most of the time I just rant. Wtm..

I just like to write things down....

#1. Anyway, I've been missing my childhood nowadays. Getting old just means there is soooo much to remember. I think that's why I'm penning all my stories in this space for my next generation (cheeeeh..). Two weeks ago I went to Ipoh (Mr.A's hometown) for a weekend. Boy, I found my childhood love!
