Red Lips For a Long Night
Hola!
Went out for a night out last Saturday and ended up pretty bad and had to rest in my car before driving home. But thanks to Vanessa who took care of me. *smoooches*. Providence was rather a place for those rich gang to drink up and get wasted with unlimited MOETs and whiskeys. Then I realised I am a person that would rather have a few more cups of coffee til the sun shines than to have another glass of champagne to toast.
Basically Vanessa and I didn't know almost everyone in the room (since she was invited and I was invited by her LOL) hence I have here, only pictures of me, myself and Vanessa.
Til then!
P/S Will write something about my red lips soon! ;)

New Month, New Hair Colour with a Huge But.
Hola!!
I'm back! I can smell that August is so fresh and will be so much fun. Yes, no? Anyway first thing I did in August was to re-dye my hair. I always wanted purple (my fav colour) and this time, I tell myself to go for it! Instead of having few strands like I did for the past few months.
I didn't get to have it the first time cause the hairstylist insist it wouldn't show on my ends. So I went for pink. Then the second time, I wanted to try green but the hairstylist didn't have the shade that I wanted. So I went for pink (yes, again). Geez. Why is it so difficult for my hair to be purple?!
Hence, I insisted to go for purple, something that would look like picture #1. Few tones of purple. Not too bright, not too dark. Just right. And you can see from picture #2 and #3, those were the 'before' pictures.

POOF!
Long story cute short.
The result wasvery much disappointing.
My hair was coloured twice that day.
Mood was totally demolished.
The purple that you notice were vibrant as those are the strands that I bleached previously (in pink)

Now, *fingers cross* for next week I'll be back for another try after the hairstylist requested for my comeback. And I do notice my face look terribly yellow. :/
But then, happy august, people!

Eating Clean
Hola!!
I've been browsing a lot from Instagram on how people make their cereal so much interesting than just in a bowl. And seriously, I feel like throwing up each time I think of it. I think that's the reason why I wouldn't take my oatmeal for reducing my cholesterol. Pfft.
So, I got inspired by a few passionate Instagrammers and I coincidentally got these 'scotch' glasses (LOL.. Not sure what to call it but yeah) at a cheap deal and I got started!
Depending on your daily mood, I picked some grapes from the morning market and had an apple sleeping in the fridge so might as well just use it. Cereals were from BIG store in Publika. The point of my cereal is it's mini packs! And trust me, it's enough for a meal.
It's a scotch glass... I think people do know it's not exactly a breakfast bowl but this thing here I prepared was really fulfilling. Very. Probably due to the yoghurt I added in. But I'm really happy and satisfied with the outcome. Hope this helps me in eating clean and healthy. Health is really important these days, with the haze and pollution and lifestyle.. I just couldn't afford to dump myself in the hospital with all the sickness that will cling on me some day. I need to be healthy and strong - physically (first) and mentally.
Time to store yoghurt and cereals!! LOL Wtm..
Be back soon!

Beauty Issue #3 - Oil Seed Removal
Hola!
A lot of people didn't realise I have a major problem - Oil Seeds aka Milia Seeds.
What is Oil/ Milia Seeds?
When the skin cells are not completely shed, keratin builds up beneath the epidermis forming a wall that is one to three millimetres in diameter. The rounded bump is referred to as milium (plural, milia) and often appears arounds the eyes and cheeks as raised white bumps that are sometimes mistaken for white heads" - Mediviron UOA Clinic
I DON'T apply sunscreen on my face (maybe once in a blue moon) or heavy make ups but yet I do get oil seeds. Where from?
Huh...
Wait for it
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
HIGH CHOLESTEROL!!!!!!!!!
Yes it's true. And I know it's rare but that's the most rational reason as I don't apply make ups (foundation/creams) on my face. Besides, I only have it mostly on my NECK (yes, neck)and near to my outer corner of my face. I do have high cholesterol and so does my family members. So I'm assuming my case is genetic. The beautician actually told me it's very common for girls to have oil seeds. So.... I'm not sure if I should be comforted by her words :/
It hasn't been bothering me for the past few years but it started to, this year. I heard laser would kill these nasty oil seeds (happy!) once and for all but it comes with a cost too (sad!). But then I gave it a try two weeks ago at a beauty salon and I love the result!!!
You can notice the black dots one the first few days are actually burnt oil seeds due to the laser treatment and it just fell off few days after! Just like that! Hahahahaa.. Sounds dodgy (wtm) but it's really the case. I was worried if it would leave any scaring but from the last picture, I can say.. So far so perfect! Like I never had those nasty seeds ever! I'm a happy girl for now!
Hehehe! I kinda regretted for not signing up on a package cause they had quite interesting offer but... Oh well, next time okay? I'm definitely not done with these oil seeds.. Especially my neck area! Uuurghh!
Back soon!

Dad Inspired Story #1
Hola!
When I was younger, my dad tells me stories of his childhood a lot. He always 'incorporate' it in his 'teaching lessons'. LOL.. That's what I often secretly tell myself - life coaching.
What kind of person you want to be,
Why must you be kind to people,
etc.
Basically he lectures me and my older brother, in a kind and good way. Mostly because every year, he sees who are we becoming and looking at the direction we are heading to, he couldn't just let us be. He would sit both of us down (probably twice a year) and tells us his stories - people he met at work, humanity, obstacles that he had been through as he grew wiser.
I never complained whenever he starts his lessons.
.
.
.
.
Maybe except that I thought it was too long but since it happens only that once/twice a year...yeah why not.
But now that I'm much older, I love his stories even more, and even if he repeats it over and over. I try pretty hard to remember as much as I could, so that I won't forget all his memorable stories. You see, he came from a very unprivileged family. My great grandparents of course tried their very best to provide their necessities and hoping that they will grow up to be a great man. I guess my dad made them proud :).
It hit me when I myself started to forget things every now and then. I always joke about having early symptoms of Alzheimer's disease. But truth is, my memories from primary school, the day I joined gymnastics, my first awards, my first dance (yeah I did dance), my first ponytail.... All these I can't recall. Not without trying very hard.
Not to mention I hated taking photos, especially in high school. I never understood why my high school girls won't stop taking photos but apparently in 2014, #selfie is proclaimed to be a syndrome.. Hahaha! Wtm.. But yeah, I start to keep all my memories via Instagram, blog, fb or any other social media. Losing these sweet reminiscence would be the worst thing that would happen to my life.
I don't want them to fade away.
I need to recall all my tiny funny things that happened,
All the ridiculous conversations I had with my bff,
All the crazy gossip about my high school teacher,
All those netball moments I had in school,
Journeys of me growing up,
"I want them to be in my mind forever.
'Cause it's now or never."

Nude to Red.
Hola!
I'm not really a fan of lipsticks cause I whenever I put them on I feel like my lips is 0.5 gram heavier (chehh..). LOL...! My favourite colour would be something coral-ish color. I have the impression that lipstick incorporated with coral colour is nice for nude make ups. Hehe. Entah betui ke tak pun..

So I started off with no colour at all and build up the redness... Not really red red, but close. I'll get one maybe soon. I've always wanted to try a really hot red lipstick. Heh.

I did have some foundation on. Attended a make up lesson in the HOSPITAL last friday. Wtm... imagine hospital + make up lesson. Haha! And I had my haircut today! It's been really hot and chopping a few inches off my head kinda helps a lot! *yeaaay!*

BGR - Killing Time
Hola!
Something about relationship today. Heh.. Dating in uni is far different from dating in the working society. Workloads, schedules, business trip etc that makes a couple meet up lesser and lesser. I've known some drs who mentioned that they only meet their other half once/twice a month. My response was "?!?!?!?" How do couples survive like that?!
![]() |
| Credit to uthinkkido.com |
I always think like the meme above too. Especially when my man doesn't pick up my calls or reply my texts. Wtm.. But now that I myself experienced the super busy schedules and all I can think of is your BED, I realise I did pressure my ex partners a lot. I demanded to go out even when they are tired. How mean.. XD
I guess this is THE real deal of COMPROMISING. "It's easy to be said than done", they say. And I true that saying! I'm attached with a workaholic man and I just couldn't be as mean as I was before. Knowing that it's so tiring to date/hangout/walk after a very very long day is just going to frustrate him. And frustrating your man is not cool. Couples end up arguing about who sacrifices more and who compromises more often.
So these are the things you can do when he's busy working:-
1. Shop for him. Shop without your man. Go get him something to enlighten his hectic work with a little surprise! Be it a simple pen or a tie or even a funny handmade card! It's doesn't need to be a celebration or special date to hand him a small gift, right? But don't spend too much on a present cause you might need to get him something quite often.
2. Hangout with friends. Don't neglect your friends when you start dating! They are the important people in your life too! Go catch up with your dear friends/babes/angels WITHOUT your guy. Especially those you haven't meet since ages. Loads of coffee shops/houses/cafes are booming around town. Go try them with your friends. XD
3. Hobby. Everyone has a hobby. E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E. If you don't have any, bang the wall with your head and figure out one. If you like to read, then spend some time alone reading. If you like to bake, then bake! Occupy your time with your hobby! It'll distract you from thinking about him too much.
4. Catch a drama. K-Pop fan? TVB fan? I'm pretty sure there are tons of dramas you can watch. Go get a few and cry in front of the screen! LOL!
The harder you try to grab water on your palm, the faster it flows out from it.
And it's TGIF tmr! Wohooo!

Disabled Comments
Hola!
I've disabled the comment link on my blog, if you noticed. And I'm so relieved to do so. I blogwalk whenever I have time to and occasionally leave comments. The main reason I disabled my comment is when I read people's blog, I see the comments are a little.....weird. Wtm..
I'm a little nervous/uncomfortable when people would write something like "comment back" or "visit back". It's a polite way of demanding a comment on their blog but I'm very uncomfortable with doing that. And I don't wish others to do the same to me too. I visit blogs because I want to read their posts, not because I want to get something in return.
I'd rather not having you read if you expect me to comment or must-visit-back kinda thing. And I'm confused with people who says "blogging is my passion" when all I see is "please comment" or "comment and I'll comment back". I'm not sure if it's blogging or commenting that they're passionate about. O_o
I'm freakishly a weirdo.

Dip Dye Hair - Blue
Hola!
Again, about my hair! Hahaha! I'm soooo in love with it! It started with shocking pink (Read Here) and then I accidentally dyed it blue. I was surprised to see the blue appeared at the ends cause I'm 200% sure I bought PURPLE. I tried a little of purple first time and it worked. Somehow the 2nd time, it didn't. I think I used too much of the purple it just turned blue.
But I still like this blue...as long as it's not pink :x The pictures above were in three different washes (messy hair, I know) and you can actually see how vibrant the blue is. Hahaha!
However, my purple base started to turn brown :( Will post again will the faded blue turned purple! Yeaaaay!

More Than a BFF
Hola!
I've always wanted a sister. But my parents didn't have another baby girl after me. I was blessed with a cousin baby instead heh. Her face is not so much of a stranger in my blog and I love her as much as I love my own sister (if I have one). Whenever I'm back to see her, I would literally ditch my parents and just hug and kiss her 24/7. Wtm...
She always knows what to say to people or when to say things,
knows how to smile to the camera,
knows how to pose for the camera,
fights back if necessary instead of weeping or wailing,
knows her fashion style well,
pick who she wants to talk to (as shy as I am),
knows how to give a hug (whenever I give a sad pout),
knows how to cover someone with a blanket,
knows how to demand for presents,
knows how to compliment people (only if she's given a compliment first....fair trade)
knows her teddy's name very well,
grabs my teddy away from me,
poke my teddy's eyes...,
knows how to pout her lips like a duck much better than I do,
She's a lot of things and she grows too fast and I sometimes worry about her, growing up. The people who would influence her, classmates who would not play with her, strangers who would kidnap her. All sorts of negative possibilities that would take her away from me.
I'm not done with her... I'm never gonna be done with her. And I don't want her to grow any faster. :(

Crazy Best Friend For Life
Hola!
This is a very looooooooooooooooooong week for me. My bff came all the way from Sabah for conference. We slipped in time to meet up during weekend and for the past few days. It's funny that after 18 years of friendship, this is THE first time we meet outside of Sabah wtm. Her mum is always worried about her whereabouts and I just.....can't do anything to persuade her mum XD
So since we had time, we explored Midvalley, 1Utama and Sunway Pyramid together. Most of the time we just chat and talk........a lot! So we didn't really have a lot of pictures. But at least we stored more great, funny and lovely memories together! Cheh..macam couple! XD
I brought her to try food that's not available in Sabah and glad that she loved them. She's not really a picky person so food wise was fine. Then she shopped quite a lot for formal clothes. Major shopping spree was getting a watch for her bf for Valentine's. We went into a number of shops and she looked and looked and looked....! Finally got a decent watch and I was relieved! :)
It was tiring, shopping, walking, driving around but totally worth it. Sorry if this is not a picture-only-post. We were too focused laughing and teasing and chatting all day that we forgot to snap pictures.
Be back soon! Bye!

Talking to a Stranger
Hola!
I renewed my driving license after it was expired for 4 long months lol!. It wasn't intentional....until I saw the queue when I walked into JPJ back in Sabah. Horrible queue. Eventually I went again (PJ branch, though) and the queue was horrible too but not worst. It took me 2 hours to renew a card. Such a waste of time. Thank god it is a good looking card and renewal only happens once in 5 years.
When I was in the process, I had a 5 mins chat with the officer and that 5 mins chat made me wondering a lot about myself. The questions and statements that he made struck me a little..
"Why don't you continue?"
"If you know what you like, you must proceed 'til you get it"
"Age doesn't matter"
My response was just smiles and "yea....". A stranger actually encouraged me to pursue my dream job that I had long buried deep beyond the ground. He was right.. about chasing what I really like but I don't have the courage to take a step ahead. I'm not young any more, why would I go for it now? But then, I have the chance (maybe...) but at least I could try, right?
Oh... I heard Macy Gray's old song on the radio - I Try.♬♪ Repeating it on YouTube at home.☺

Things To Do in 2014
Hola! I'm back to KL, started working, with loads of work waiting to be done XD. It's pretty warm and stuffy in KL these days. I can't sleep well at night too. But I had a great week back in Sabah! It's Chinese New Year after all! People preparing for the huge festival - hair, clothes, nails etc. I, of course, spent time.... proly tooooooo much time on my hair. I finally had my first dip dye, after considering about it for a year now wtm. Though it didn't turn out as I expected.
I was so determined on getting my ends with bright purple but the hairstylist explained that. . . . . . . . which I don't really understand. I was soooo confused with whatever reason she gave so I pointed at pink instead *face palm*. I snapped a couple of my shocking pink hair photos but I restored my old apple itunes thingy and the photos were gone. HUGE MISTAKE and I hated my phone for 30mins. =__=
The first photo was after two washes and yea, bleaching really damages the hair. Then I bought a cheapskate purple dye and dyed my ends at home. Turned out I was pretty impressed (with both my skills and the outcome HA HA..). The last photo doesn't show my purple base which only lasted few days. It faded right after two washes. :(
Since my hair is pretty damaged, I tend to try as many colours as I can before I chop the ends off. Hehee! Oh.. and it's currently blue. Happened accidentally. WTM..
*scraping off my first wishlist in 2014!*

What's Waiting in 2014
Hola!
I was determined to change myself as a whole in 2013. Obviously I failed to do so, seeing my not-so-much-change in the mirror. But 2014 is and must be a major change! I've tried coming out of my comfort zone (in 2012) once and it felt so good even I was pretty nervous at that point. Yet, I took it for granted whole the whole 2013. Just wasted like that.
| Painting my life with colours for 2014!!! |
I took a lot of time surveying and googling and even question myself if I'm good enough to do what I want to do in life. Pretty much inspired by the make up queen, Michelle Phan and certain bloggers that motivates me through their quotes and words, I've decided to take a leap again, now or never. I repeatedly argued with my inner self that I won't be able to make it, that I'm never gonna build my own career/name for myself but then if I don't try it now, when will I be able to try?
But most of my motivation comes from my family - my dad especially. I want to make him proud, not taking any cents from him any more but instead, able to provide for him. He still supports me for my travel expenses and I really do feel bad about it :(
Other than that......................
| So pretty! |
BAGS! Hahahaha! Bags would totally motivate me to work like a horse day and night!!! Hahahahaa! Well, I do love clothes but I don't have sexy figure or skinny body so, skip that. I'm not into shoes as I barely wear heels thrice a year. Not to mention most of the heels hurts my foot so much! Only slipper or flip flop (or look alike) sandals can satisfy me for now. Make up wise...................working on it. LOL! So bag is THE thing that tickles me. But they are getting pricey year after year. Urrghhh!
I'm pushing myself towards my goal - slowly. Pushing myself with pressure (70% good and 30% bad ones). I foresee that I'll be darn tired but if that's what it takes for me to climb higher, why not? :)
