Short Stay at Dreamz Bakery, Kota Damansara

Hola!!!

I was and is going to fully utilise my last two weeks before I was back to becoming a working ant again. By then, I'm not sure I actually will have the energy for writing. :( For now, let's enjoy the moment. A friend is working in Kota Damansara and after lunch with her, we had nowhere to go. She suggested this place - Dreamz Bakery.

Upon arrival, we eyed on everything little thing in their store. Full with handmade art works, childhood gums and cookies, cute little decorations all over the bakery store. So fun to look at. :D I only ordered Dark Secret cake to try out and I love it. Fresh, great taste and texture. It's just really rare to get fresh cake these days though there are a lot of cafes around. Maybe it's because they are a bakery store (duuuh).

Say Never Ever to Elstees, SS15

Hola!!!

Have you ever, EVER tried a drink or any food and the taste just makes you feel "yuck" that you just have to spit it out?! Yeap! That kinda feeling. We were supposed to dine at Meltz@SS15 but it was closed. an't remember which day was it. So I passed by this cafe. Looked pretty decent with minimal deco, with reasonable price. And I suggested to try out this one. Hmph.

We both ordered Hot Chocolate for our drinks and I ordered Mix Chop (lamb, chicken and 3 prawns). So sad but true, this is the worst Hot Chocolate that I've ever had. Ever. And ever. It tasted like WATER COLOUR PAINT! Not that I've tried water colour paint before but you just can smell it pretty well! :/ I literally was so disappointed with it! So disgusting that I just left it there and insisted my friend to do the same! (LOL by telling her she'll die of drinking that water colour liquid)

The food was so so, nothing much to talk about. I was already shocked with their so called Hot Chocolate. So much 'so' in this post. Just eww. Sorry Elstees, but you gotta improve a hell lot more than what you are doing now. You got a great location and deco. Don't mess up with F&B!

Oh.. We went to calm our tummy down with some desserts in Brewyard after that. Mood back to
 happy.

Resting at Sitka, Damansara Heights

say hi again to my sick face :D

Hola!

Started to get out from my bed since Thursday and it feels so good to come out to this er, not-so-fresh-air. Oh I miss Sabah's air! :( But yea, my immune system is back to normal but still kinda careful with my food intake. Heh.

Went to this cafe in Damansara Heights after round and round KL area for a parking to try out LOKL, lost our way to Hartamas' Brewmen. LOL! Ended up in Sitka. Never heard of it. I'm glad I did. Tried their hot chocolate and their cakes. Pretty good in taste, a little too sweet, however. For sweet tooth, you guys would find it just fine. I'm not very sure about their consistency yet I'll be back to confirm this. ;)

Dip n Dip, eCurve

Hola!!

This is by far, the sweetest dessert place I've ever been in Malaysia (or at least Klang Valley area). Who doesn't know Dip n Dip? I first stepped in this place but Bangsar branch months ago. It wasn't crowded that day and I tried one of their dessert. 

Oh my god. Super sweet. Maximum endorphins released. Oh my god.

This was the second time and in eCurve branch.

Oh my god. Super duper sweet too. Yet super happy. It's not a place that I would visit constantly but occasionally, I guess. Especially when someone is really really down and moody, this will be the prefect dessert place. 

HOWEVER, this wasn't the point of writing this. My point was, I ordered Iced Lemon Tea (something sour-sih) with less ice. It was still too sweet for me so I requested for the waitress to add some water. I didn't want them to add ice cause I'll be coughing half dead in the middle of the night. But she came back with my glass full of ice. I told her I didn't want ice and she said..

NO WATER.

What the hell do you mean by no water?! You made these drinks of mine and my friends' with water, isn't it?! Sometimes I really have no clue what service am I paying for. Pfft. *mood turned back to sour* I bet you guys received bad service before, right?

Garage 51 by Coffee Societe, Bandar Sunway

Hola!!

This is the time where my "Cafe List" being crossed out. *hooray*. Tried Garage 51 by Coffee Societe in Bandar Sunway. Nearby Sunway college/ Sunway Medical Centre. It was really pack that night, Friday night I think. Switched places from top floor to ground floor and  we got to sit at this long table, which is fine.

The food was not very yummy. Oh I ordered Grilled Chicken with Gratin Mushroom Mozarella and Wedges and my friend ordered Grilled Salmon with French Bean, Golden Egg, Idaho Potato and Backed Hollandaise. Bombastic name but taste and texture wise could improve better. But I love their drinks. I had Caramel Hot Chocolate while I couldn't remember what my friend ordered. We were both happy with the drinks they served. Too bad the air cond was too cold that our hot drinks were cooled down pretty quick.

For dessert, we ordered Creme Brulee and Carrot Cake. Same as the main course, could improve more. Nothing to shout out about. I definitely would go back for their drinks and would like to try out their other desserts. The others might taste better? *positive mind*

The Cotton Candy from Oh Scooter Cafe, USJ 21

Hola!

Last week was pretty relaxing for me as people are already in Raya holiday mood and so was my hospital. So, Friday was half day for people who were still working and I went off to meet up my friends in MINI Glenmarie branch. Hah..Kacau kacau.

Since there were a lot of time, my friend drove me to this cafe nearby my ex-company, Oh Scooter cafe. The ambience was pretty cute, with the scooter theme and their signature coffee that's inviting. Thier signature coffee was, well...something unique. They came up with this cotton candy concept as the 'sugar' (i guess) and you put it on top of the bigger cup of coffee while the smaller espresso to kinda melt it down to the bigger cup. It's a great idea to attract customers and fun to play with too. Hahaha.

The cake was a bit off. I'm not sure if it's the fridge's problem or the cake itself. It smells. I can't tell what is it but it smells. Oh and the macaroons, LOL.. Cute scooters! I tot they were two pop-out eyes at first but I saw the scooter only from side view.

New Spots and a Book

Hola!!

Oookay. I've been away for few days and  I've been away from Instagram too. LOL. Doesn't sound like it but true. Normally I would hunt for great feeds in Instragram but lately, I've been moody (PMS kot) Hahaha.. 

well, at least I didn't go around with a steering lock on my hand.LOL.WTM.

Anyway, last week, I went to a few new places for coffee with the bunch of friends and it wasn't that bad overall. Will write about it soon when I'm not this lazy. My point was the book that I read - The Picture of Dorian Gray. I believed for classic fans, you would have seen the movie but I haven't and I don't intend to. This book is already magnificent by itself. I've been wanting to read THE WHOLE book but hmm.. It took quite awhile for me to start picking up the pages again. And this time I finished it. When I was finished with that book, I wondered what took me so long to read it again.

And..

And...

I hold my shyt throughout the last few pages. HAHAHA! No kidding! Will write about what I think about it soon. For book lovers, go get this! It's really a great story! I'll be back soon! Bye!

Early Coffee at Kaffa Espresso Bar, Damansara Uptown

Hola!!

I'm really tired these few days as my parents came over for a few days along with my baby cousin! It's her first time coming over to KL and I'm so delighted so meet her here! I hope to see her soon again.. I miss her already! #emosial

While waiting for them on Saturday morning, I had breakfast at Uptown's Kaffa Espresso Bar. I didn't know they open at 8am for weekends. Hahaa! But yeah, I had my fav cafe freddo and tried their Chocolate something something pastry and it was not bad. Quite chocolaty. *thumbs up*, Kaffa. Next time I'll bite it like how Suarez would. LOL! XD

COSANS Coffee, SS15 Subang Jaya

Hola!

I'm not sure why each time I'm so excited and eager to have a sip at the cafe, something just happen. I read reviews and comments and tips online about how pretty the coffee arts are, how nice the service they get etc. But when it's my turn, everything seems so different.

I heard a lot about COSANS, probably because the malaysian bloggers made a video about it. This was my second time there after a very nice experience with them the first time. And I decided "Hmm.. maybe I should request for a specific art"

Bad idea. Real bad.

"Can I have a Mint Hot Chocoalate please?"

"You want hot or cold?"

". . . . . . . *looked at the board* . . . . . *looked at her*. . . . . hot...."

"Ou can I request for  snoopy art?

"Oh ya ya"

.

I was sooo happy waiting for my first every snoopy art when came is what pictured above. I looked and looked and stared over and over. Finally I can't figure it out I asked my friend "Which part of this art looks like snoopy?!"

She laughed.

Pretty hard.

Mr.A even comforted me that it's an S for Snoopy. *face palm*

Can anyone understand how this feels? Maybe it's just me. ALL. THE. TIME.

Disaster at Coffee Stain by Joseph, Publika Solaris Dutamas.

Hola!

Two major things happened during the public holiday - Awal Muharram. I went to Publika to try out Coffee Stain by Joseph, as being highly talked about. First off, upon arriving Coffee Stain, we weren't greeted at all nor any of the waiter/waitress noticed us, the we waited for a table but we have to arrange the table ourselves as the tables were joined earlier by the bigger bunch of people. But everything was fine, or I thought.

I ordered affogato coffee and Mr.A ordered dark chocolate. For food wise, we shared Sunny Bun. We waited for 15mins for the food, which was totally fine due to the amount of people swarming to the cafe. However, we finished our food and chatted and chatted and chatted until Mr.A asked "How come our drinks are not here yet?" Then I realised he was right.  When we asked the waiter, she said "Due to the amount of orders, the drinks are coming out slow today." WHAT?! I seriously think they should have informed us or others earlier to avoid the feeling of waiting. Or at least serve us some water? And so the service was BAD.

As you can see, Sunny Bun wasn't that sunny or rather, gloomy (Presentation, BAD). The taste doesn't worth the price too. WTM... My affogato looked fine and dark chocolate wasn't...........dark.......................nor.....................chocolate. The taste was hmm... I just don't like it. Neither do Mr.A. Taste....BAD! Thank god my affogato managed to calm me down. The connection of our phones suddenly drowned from GOOD to BAD. So very frustrating to sit there waiting for the page to load or whatsapp to stay connected or facebook to load more. Overall, I kinda banned Coffee Stain. Unless it really really reaaaaaaaaally happen that I have a kind heart and give it a second chance. Probably wouldn't pick a busy day to go.

Funny part happened, Mr.A accidentally slapped on his dark chocolate drink and the unlucky me kena the consequence. WTM! But lucky that my bag was waterproof so the whole spilled from my thigh downwards. Mr. A thought I was going to burst into flames but I started giggling! I think I was shocked to see such chocolate spilled on my thigh! Then of course... THE STARE from surrounding. Oh yeh... hello there.. If you are reading this and you were there too, hi. One waiter came to clean the floor, one came and gave me a pot of water to wash up, one gave us tissues to wipe the wet. Ahh....finally some attention from them. Meh.........WTM.

Cadaver, Friday and Bangsar

Hola!

Happy belated Malaysia Day! Hahaha! It's already Wednesday! This week is speeding like a bullet train. Gosh. Last week I had the privilege to watch doctors to practice their operating skills or if it's being called that way, on a real cadaver! REAL CADAVER!!! Arrghh! XD I know I'm not even close to being a forensic scientist but if this is as far as I could go then so be it.

Looking at the cadavers (16 of them btw) are just.....as fun as looking 16 plates of good food on the table. Wtm XD So excited about it and can't stop snapping pictures of them. And then the long weekend started. :) And this is just Friday's happenings. :)

Went to Antipodean after work.. after so many gazillion years. Much better idea than going on weekends. Heh.. Tried their #affogato :) Then at night, we went to The Social, Bangsar again to spend the last few hours of XN's birthday. Just a couple of us. Too much laughter in such pretty short hours. Heart attack 4581th times. XD

I'M DA MANNNNNN!!!!!!
