Barged into d'italiane, Paradigm Mall

Taken from d'italiane's fb page

Hola!

We were both pretty hungry that night and we were out of restaurants to pick (initial plan was Sushi Zanmai but the crowd was too much for my tummy to bear) so we literally barged into d'italiane. From the exterior, it seems a little overpriced. The interior was comforting enough though. So we picked our dishes enjoyed our meal.

I love the design on the tabletop paper (is it how it's called?). It's so pretty and just attractive to me. For drinks, the one of the left is Ciocchino Mint and on the left, Hot Chocolate. Ciocchino Mint is kinda addictive. It's sweet and minty at the same time so you kinda feel like sipping all the time. Hot Chocolate wasn't that hot (fine for me) and..........nothing much.

For food...! We ordered Chicken Marengo and i-can't-remember-the-name Lamb. I don't really fancy the sauce for the chicken but it tasted okay overall. But you can see, I tried googling the picture for lamb and I found a very very pretty picture of Chicken Marengo from d'italiane's fb page. The real thing is so much different. HAHA! What you see if definitely NOT what you get! WTM! XD

The lamb...Hmm... Well for sure it doesn't look inviting at all. However, it was very juicy and it wasn't extremely chewy at all. It's like pinching baby's face! Hahaha...! WTM.. Mad love for that. Oh.. I had it medium well too. When any lamb is too chewy, it just turns people off completely, agree? The herbs and olive oil is just so perfect together. Not to mention I like the sauce too. It's not a special sauce but dipping everything together just tasted pretty good in the mouth. The veggies were too crunchy though. I prefer it to be almost cooked.

I would definitely go back but not that often cause I can't afford this for every meal. So, maybe for special occasions? :)

I'll Never Understand.

Credit to Rayban

Hola!

Hahaha! I've never wore any spectacles ever in my life. I'm not short sighted or neither do I have any difficulties with my eyes. Basically, I have a very good vision. So I'll never understand how it feels like to put on specs walking around whole day or during reading or to look at something/someone from far. I do appreciate my eyes as the way they are but on the other hand, I kinda envy those who wears specs or even colourful contact lenses. There are a lot of  awesome looking spectacles! People keep saying putting on glasses are so annoying and not pretty at all. And I think that's why people prefer contact lenses nowadays.

I tried putting them on few years back, violet lenses. Those without any degrees but it was TIRING! It took me almost 15 mins on each eye and ended up looking like horrible with the colour (purple lens + red eyes = disaster). Then the trend of putting on lens-less glasses were so in I bought a few too. But didn't really put it on whole day cause my friends know I DON'T HAVE ANY EYESIGHT PROBLEMS. They would ask me to take it off as it looks silly for someone who doesn't have any problem with the eyes to "add a problem".

So, occasionally, to reduce my guilt of buying useless things, I put them on and snap some pictures. Heh! WTM.... Just for fun, to say. Boleh lah..

myBurgerLab, Sea Park

Hola!

Finally I gave myBurgerLab a try (since my housemate mentioned it was overrated haha!) and I definitely agree with her on that. Or probably I had the most basic meal on their menu, A+ Chicken meal set. I dislike onions, but it's not their fault as I didn't request to remove it. I don't find the charcoal bread extraordinary other than the colour o_O and the chicken is just........chicken.

But I love the shitake and enoki mushrooms. I didn't waste any bit of it! Plus the sauce! I'm not sure what the secret recipe is but it is one of a kind and I can be quite addictive to it. Mehehehee... WTM.. Roasted cherry tomatoes... Mmm always a fan of cherry tomatoes so, no complaints there. XD

Overall, it was okay. But the crowd is soooo packed and I guess it's a good sign for me as I'll definitely give it a second try. Probably would go for something different e.g. watermelon/lychee flavoured burger instead of the normal ones. Wish me luck!

Disaster at Coffee Stain by Joseph, Publika Solaris Dutamas.

Hola!

Two major things happened during the public holiday - Awal Muharram. I went to Publika to try out Coffee Stain by Joseph, as being highly talked about. First off, upon arriving Coffee Stain, we weren't greeted at all nor any of the waiter/waitress noticed us, the we waited for a table but we have to arrange the table ourselves as the tables were joined earlier by the bigger bunch of people. But everything was fine, or I thought.

I ordered affogato coffee and Mr.A ordered dark chocolate. For food wise, we shared Sunny Bun. We waited for 15mins for the food, which was totally fine due to the amount of people swarming to the cafe. However, we finished our food and chatted and chatted and chatted until Mr.A asked "How come our drinks are not here yet?" Then I realised he was right.  When we asked the waiter, she said "Due to the amount of orders, the drinks are coming out slow today." WHAT?! I seriously think they should have informed us or others earlier to avoid the feeling of waiting. Or at least serve us some water? And so the service was BAD.

As you can see, Sunny Bun wasn't that sunny or rather, gloomy (Presentation, BAD). The taste doesn't worth the price too. WTM... My affogato looked fine and dark chocolate wasn't...........dark.......................nor.....................chocolate. The taste was hmm... I just don't like it. Neither do Mr.A. Taste....BAD! Thank god my affogato managed to calm me down. The connection of our phones suddenly drowned from GOOD to BAD. So very frustrating to sit there waiting for the page to load or whatsapp to stay connected or facebook to load more. Overall, I kinda banned Coffee Stain. Unless it really really reaaaaaaaaally happen that I have a kind heart and give it a second chance. Probably wouldn't pick a busy day to go.

Funny part happened, Mr.A accidentally slapped on his dark chocolate drink and the unlucky me kena the consequence. WTM! But lucky that my bag was waterproof so the whole spilled from my thigh downwards. Mr. A thought I was going to burst into flames but I started giggling! I think I was shocked to see such chocolate spilled on my thigh! Then of course... THE STARE from surrounding. Oh yeh... hello there.. If you are reading this and you were there too, hi. One waiter came to clean the floor, one came and gave me a pot of water to wash up, one gave us tissues to wipe the wet. Ahh....finally some attention from them. Meh.........WTM.

That's it! Sayonara!

P/S I mentioned there were two major things.. The second one was. . .

Camera Talk - Nikon D3100

Hola!

Just want to share some pictures I took with my friend's Nikon DSLR. It's really not easy to snap decent pictures as I'm new to such huge cameras. And the outcome of my pictures are pretty............bad. But it is a good experience to learn something new. :) Practice makes perfect! Besides, carrying about such an enormous camera is definitely heavy and bulky and it doesn't hang still around my neck when I walk around. Wtm...

Previously, I had a thought of getting a Nikon D3100 when it was first launched. But then D3200 came out.. then D5100, then D5200. So..... I kinda lost focus right there and didn't get any at the end. WTM.. But then I met D3100 again when my friend was kind enough to lend me for weeks *confetti pops*. Most of the time, I used Manual mode to get used to the settings and practice catching the lights and all but occasionally I switch to Auto mode (especially when I got confused). I tried settings like Straighten, Miniature, B&W but obviously not so good at it yet. But I really love the Guide mode and  Info button where it shows how and when to use those modes.

Anyway, I'm trying to get MY camera some time later... probably around..... November........during..... year end sale......? XD Yea.. but of course it won't be a dslr. I just don't think it's suitable for me (yet haha!) and it's not one of my camera's requirement. I prefer something lightweight but still have a really good function to snap pretty awesome pictures e.g. Leica

Will be back soon. Sayonara!
