What's Waiting in 2014

Hola!

I was determined to change myself as a whole in 2013. Obviously I failed to do so, seeing my not-so-much-change in the mirror. But 2014 is and must be a major change! I've tried coming out of my comfort zone  (in 2012) once and it felt so good even I was pretty nervous at that point. Yet, I took it for granted whole the whole 2013. Just wasted like that.

Painting my life with colours for 2014!!!

I took a lot of time surveying and googling and even question myself if I'm good enough to do what I want to do in life. Pretty much inspired by the make up queen, Michelle Phan and certain bloggers that motivates me through their quotes and words, I've decided to take a leap again, now or never. I repeatedly argued with my inner self that I won't be able to make it, that I'm never gonna build my own career/name for myself but then if I don't try it now, when will I be able to try?

But most of my motivation comes from my family - my dad especially. I want to make him proud, not taking any cents from him any more but instead, able to provide for him. He still supports me for my travel expenses and I really do feel bad about it :(

Other than that......................

So pretty!

BAGS! Hahahaha! Bags would totally motivate me to work like a horse day and night!!! Hahahahaa! Well, I do love clothes but I don't have sexy figure or skinny body so, skip that. I'm not into shoes as I barely wear heels thrice a year. Not to mention most of the heels hurts my foot so much! Only slipper or flip flop (or look alike) sandals can satisfy me for now. Make up wise...................working on it. LOL! So bag is THE thing that tickles me. But they are getting pricey year after year. Urrghhh!

I'm pushing myself towards my goal - slowly. Pushing myself with pressure (70% good and 30% bad ones). I foresee that I'll be darn tired but if that's what it takes for me to climb higher, why not? :)

Cheeeh... banyak crite.. Let's see how much I can achieve this year! And if everything doesn't go well........

About michellesnoopy

  • Who am I? I'm a Sabahan breed, raised by a strict mum yet lenient dad. Malay educated, speaks English at home, chats in Cantonese with cousins and absolutely no idea where I picked my Mandarin from. Completed high school and STPM in the East Malaysia. Then I continued a DSCAU transfer program in INTI University, Nilai for a year and completed the last 2 years in Northumbria University, UK.

  • What's with SNOOPY? I love that cutie beagle! I love him since I was really really young and I will love him til the last breath of my life! My friends DO call me by that name. :)

  • What do I do? This is my third year working, and... I've switched quite a lot of jobs within these few years. Tried sales, cold call sales, mentoring, branded handbag sales and now, research assistant at the oldest university in Malaysia. With this current job, I'm proud to say I'm happy with what I do everyday!

  • Why blog? I started writing when my friends in Malaysia asked how I was doing in UK and due to the time difference, I couldn't really spend too much time on MSN (old school) or Facebook a lot, detailing everything that happened. So a friend actually introduced me to Blogger and voilà.

Things that I admire:-
  1. People with self confidence especially about their body figure. I just don't have the guts to put on a bikini without having imaginary Jessica Alba standing next to me.
  2. Pretty hair! Pretty coffee art! Pretty photographies!
  3. Steve Job's quote - "The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, You'll know when you find it."

So yeah, that's all I can think of for now. Hopefully I will fill in more details about myself in future...

Oh, my hashtag in Instagram is #minisnoopy. :)

In The Month of Ramadhan

Hola..

As everyone knows it's the fasting month for the muslims before they celebrate Hari Raya Puasa a month later. And every year at this period, I'm always being extra cautious, as in my safety. I know it may sound ridiculous but it's always during this time, there will be EXTRA roadblocks, EXTRA checkings - check here check there, everywhere check check and also EXTRA robberies/break-ins/snatch thefts going on.

And maybe it's just me, I strongly encourage Malaysian cars' window should be tinted a little darker so that robbers would at least hesitate before they try to rob anyone's car. With the current law of NOT ALLOWING any shades darker than the original ones is not a good idea. It's easily see through and I think car owners will have to be extra careful with their bags, things, even their own lives. With a slight darker shade of tint, I think the robbers (especially on motorbikes) will at least have to pay more attention into the inner view of the car before they act. Make sense right?

It's not that I'm saying the tinting should be dark black but c'mon.. just slightly darker won't be thaaaaat bad, right? It's afterall for OUR own safety! With all the advertisements in the radio advising not to put your bags on the seat but instead, put it under the seat.. Well robbers do listen to radios too..........right? You advertise those so-called tips ON AIR with the intention that they won't rob us? Yes, of course it's much more difficult to be robbed but what about bulky handbags? Or mayb laptop backpacks? How are those going to fit UNDER the seat? I know Myvi has this underneath compartments but not every Malaysians drive a Myvi right? And you can't possibly expect all of us to switch to Myvi or looking for cars that has this feature.

I just feel sad cause the government is not thinking right about this. And advertising your tips on air is soooo not helping at all. I think it actually gives the robbers to come up with their own tips on "How to rob cars". Wtm.. Can I be the Menteri Keselamatan or JPJ officer or whatever it's called to suggest this idea.?

*the end*

Girls Always Go For The Bad Guys

Holla!

I wanted to share my thoughts this time instead of updating my personal life. When I learn what relationship is all about years ago, I came across this saying all the time - Girls always fall for the bad boys. And true enough I did, myself. Maybe it was unintentional that I fell for a bad boy, or maybe, just maybe, I would like to know what it feels like to date a bad boy.

And after so long, this saying is still here. I'm not sure why but it still exist. Probably due to those guys who couldn't get a decent girl or from girls who are caught in this mindset. But I would like to have a say in this.

WHY BAD BOYS

First of all, I would like to say although girls 'always' fall for the bad guys, they might not end up well together due to lots of factors of course. From my experience observation, girls like or are attracted to funny guys regardless they put effort in saying funny things or it just happen. It adds the charm to a guy who has interest in a particular girl and to go for it without going overboard. Good guys tend to overdo it when they don't realize girls prefer it to happen naturally. And somehow the bad ones tend to be pro in this matter.

The other thing is, girls like to have the mentality that they would be THE ONE who would change their bad boys into a not-so-bad boy. Hmm... let me rephrase that - girls would like to think that they are capable of molding the bad side of their man into a good one. Changing a boy/man or any person in the world to your expectations is almost impossible BUT if he really really cares *which the bad guys normally do* and here, I'm talking about going into a happy ending relationship, he would willingly change his bad attitude, habits, character to be a better person for himself as well as for the girl.

Sometimes, it is surprising to see how much a girl can influence a bad guy to be molded into a completely different man. Unconsciously. I could say that most of the bad guys are willing to drop their face/ego/manly hood for that one girl without realizing it themselves. And again, I'm not saying that this applies to ALL OF THE BAD GUYS OR NEITHER I'M SAYING ALL THE GOOD GUYS ARE HELPLESS. I'm saying that for bad guys, sometimes, all they have in their whole life is that one girl. The one special girl that somehow 'spell' them to be loyal to, to do whatever it takes to protect and make her happy. It's like Superman and his kryptonite. For them, the world would end without her and/or she might be the very last person he would laid eyes on.

WHY NOT GOOD GUYS

On the other hand, good guys tend to argue *with all their mighty smart-ass arguments and reasons* and it usually doesn't end well - as far as I checked. Good guys are very solid on their statements. The scenario would be like two cobra king snakes trying to fight for an ostrich egg. For girls, it all comes down to " Are you willing to step out from your comfort zone and make a difference? ".

By saying or thinking he is " I'm the good guy " is a very outstanding way to say that that 'good guy' is overconfident and braggy. And girls definitely won't be impressed by that. So IF AND ONLY IF you think you're a GOOD GUY here or for your entire life, well think again.

Besides, good guys tend to expect their girls to be the same - to be PRIM AND PROPER. Girls, if you're one of these gangs then congratulations, you will find your prince in that pile of people. But for girls like me, I wouldn't impress a good guy by being NOT ME o_O . I should say, I would want my man to accept the way I am and just the way I am. Good guys will want more from their girls.

I don't want more, I just need a polite girl, a girl who doesn't smoke, doesn't swear, doesn't fart in public, puts on make up and wear nice clothes, cleans, cooks, pretty face, nyeh nyeh nyeh.

Get a Miranda Kerr then!!

AND FOR THE LAST TIME I REPEAT, THIS DOESN'T APPLY TO ALL OF THE GOOD GUYS. IF YOU FEEL LIKE I'M MENTIONING ABOUT YOU, SUCK IT CAUSE I AM.

So readers, the next time you hear some single bachelor uttering that "Girls always fall for bad guys" phrase, stop him and ask "Are you saying you're a good guy?" If you found a decent answer, DATE  THAT MR.NICE GUY! ;)

I Am Reminded

Hola!! It's the end of May and I'm uh..... 3094783648 post behind. LOL!

*with French accent* pardon me, me love.. I'd been busy.

But today, today is different. There was an urge that pushed me to write. Can't believe I need AN URGE to write now. *sigh to my blog* But first of all, I would like to announce that the word SCANDAL and OBSCENE is officially banned from my life.

I had... a couple of questions being asked earlier and I think I need to rephrase my answers after another thought.

You know when you're being questioned and they just aren't convinced with the answer you replied ? And then you feel like . . . . turning into The Incredible Hulk. I always tell my kids that being a paper chaser doesn't do much as compared to their own personality and originality. Shamed to admit, their mentor, mua phailed in many ways.

Papers are indeed important. Before you meet someone formally, paper work/ reading is the first thing you must do. I was tested on an industry that never crossed my mind for once and hell yeah I have to admit, IT WAS AND IT TOUGH. Convincing people is one thing I didn't and couldn't learn from school. And it would be on my degree cert as well. It's something that I learn along my life. How would you convince people to actually believe that you're capable of doing what you're expected to when it is obvious that you don't have any experience on?

If I could, I would say. . . I won't disappoint you. In whatever task I'll be given, I'll put 200% in it without doubt. As important as the process is to me, so does the end result. I want and I need to see the end product where I put my full effort in. There you go.

Then, a really tough question was where will you be in 5 years time? Honestly, I don't know. But I'm clear with what I want to do. I would hold on to things that I'm capable of. Because I believe if I would keep what I have at my current position, it must be something worth a lot. It would be too much for me to let it go just like that. Years are just numbers.. If you found something worth holding on, you would have stopped counting from day 1. *wink*

DO YOU REALLY WANT THIS?
This is easy but I wouldn't have the courage to tell mainly due to the fact that I'm totally not in the position to say so. But I would confidently say 'Yes' based on the response of the people I met. I remember well the day I was interviewed by JA and LA for my official job, it was a comfortable one. I love it and still do despite the change now. I love the way they made me felt so homey even before I started day one.

Grab it while you can.

Good night people. See you again soon. :))

Not My Fault, Najib

No, it really isn't my fault. I'm innocent.

The title was "A Rich Man's Complaint" . It's an IWP = Informal Writing Practice - to exert their own ideas. So, this was what one of them gave me.

Have a great Sunday!

Not A Good Thing

Sometimes, I think it's not a good thing to stay next to public transport. Especially when I'm awake at this moment due to i-don't-know-why and I hear the train passing by one by one. The subconscious mind will inappropriately tells you it's "something" else even when you know it's just the crews testing out the trains *pffts*

Or aren't they......?

*I need a doctor, I need a doctor~*

Because.. I saw a bug on my laptop screen while reading a random blog. And I thought it was from her blog..you know, animation kinda thing. So for fun, I pressed on it, was trying to "catch" it as I find it quite interesting. . . . . . .
I felt my juicy finger. It was a REAL bug. What.The.Hell.. See how sick I am? *sigh*

Also, I'm not sure I dreamt about this or not but I was too proud to asked my roomie. I remembered (sort of) that I told my roomie not to wash our whites until I come back cause I was wearing white the other day. When I came back/ woke up (still don't know which is real fml) I saw the clothes were not touched. So I was wondering if I actually told her or it was just a dream.

I'm so f*cked up.

I Met A Stranger

i met a stranger,
i looked at her, she was a little girl,
from the look in her eyes,
i knew she lost her mother.

i met a stranger,
i glanced at him, he was an old man,
from the glimpse i caught,
i knew he was tired and alone.

i met a stranger,
i smiled at him, he was a teenager,
from his smirk he replied,
i sensed the evil in him.

i met a stranger,
i stared at her, she was a lady,
from the face i stared at,
i knew she was out-going and trendy.

i met a stranger,
i waved at it,
from its tail that swung,
i knew it was happy to meet me.

i met a stranger,
i noticed her, she was an old lady,
from the back of her figure,
i knew she wasn't any stranger.

xXxXxx

P/S if anyone seen this before do let me know, cause i didn't copy this. :)
