Give Me What I Need.

Holla! I'm kind of having a long weekend and I thought "Why don't I write something up." And strange to say that I'm going to be writing about an article I read from the papers which I couldn't agree more. The funny part is it's about parenthood. XD

I really love this article of hers on "Kids matter" and I strongly believe that the new century parents should benefit from it.

"When I was growing up, my siblings and I were required to address all adults and older cousins by their titles."

True. Especially my mum. She would make sure that I call the adults out loud and clear for everyone in the whole room's attention. I would panic if I couldn't remember what title to address certain aunts or uncles. In times like that, I would whisper to my dad and ask "How to call him ah?" and it certainly did embarrass me when my dad answered me in a firm tone.

Kids nowadays, based on my observations and encounters as well, they will just take a look at you and continue with their games or homework or cartoon shows. It really surprises me to see their level of respect towards adults are so low that it seems it was already implanted from the previous generations.

Another thing about new parents are they would take the easiest way out to solve their children's crying, whining or rebellious behaviors. Mums and dads would just give in to every demands or requests their kids want the moment they get cranky.

"I don't mean being a complete pushover and giving in to every want and whine."

A very good phrase. I vividly remember whenever I whine to my mum over something that I want e.g. new pencil or color pens, she would tell me to stop or else she would just leave me in the store. And I really appreciate her for being mean to me because I realized back then that showing her my attitude isn't going to work in my family - AT ALL. I had and have to prove to them that I'm worth it to make a request from them. Parents should let their kids learn from the hard way instead of just shutting them up the easiest way.

There are a lot of occasions that you can witness in a restaurant or in the shopping mall on the way a mum would let her baby play with the iPad while she'll be busy chatting around with her friends or dad, who's trying to have a comfy meal would shut his kid up with a phone or any kind of electronic device. These actions or so-called-solutions seriously will create a bigger and unmanageable mindset for the next generation which I would never want to think about.

Apart from this, parents always teaches their kids to not talk to any kind of strangers. The phrase " DO NOT TALK TO STRANGERS" is always being uttered in a way that it threatens a child to take as serious as he/she could. I could understand that why kids are shy when I first met them - we've never met, the kids thinks i'm vulnerable to her etc.

"Do you realize being shy is actually a child's first line of defense? You won't want your child to be best friends with every strange adult she sees, will you?"

I truly wish that every parent would think twice about the direction of their parenting skills as kids grasp fast on how adults are going to react towards each and every behavior. The results would be very easy - either break or make a child.

Out-October

My October was.......an amazing one. It started off with a romantic birthday dinner with the beloved girls, then parents came over for a few days (took a chance to introduced them to Wondermilk hehk!), had a nice and comfy coffee at Fat Spoon, a very odd-and-weird spelling from one of my kids. You can try to guess what was the exact word =___=

Not to forget about my Darling's birthday dinner too. ♥ Both October babies. Hahk!

And a group picture of my night class in DU branch! Such a dramatic class and I love them all! ☠

I have aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa lot to tell but let's skip it all until I have time to tell. ((((:  Til then!

Her Name Is Anabelle

Babies. The little creatures that runs around, shouts about everything and constantly seeking for attentions from anyone…… Or anything. There is a new born in my uncle’s family few months ago and I never got the chance to say Hi to her. And finally I got the chance to do it two weeks ago, it was great!

I’d never say Hi to a little creature so close that I can gaze her beautiful sparkling eyes long enough to melt my heart. Such a wonderful, innocent and lovely girl was born and i wonder how long would she stay that way ):

Raising a child ain't easy. You can't spoil him/her, can't hold on to him/her that tight, can't stop worrying about him/her etc etc. Such a  huge responsibility parents hold and I still can't figure out how they managed it (should ask my dad next time I meet him). Not to mention the 'Why' questions too! 

I personally ♥ kids but to raise them myself..? It's a no-no. No offence to the parents out there, you're doing a wonderful job on your kids, I assume but for me I can't accept that.....yet. Unless there's a greater reason that can overcome my 1 million no-no to raising a kid. For now...let's stick to other people's kids.

✏2. She's my youngest cousin. 6months old.

✏3. Her name, Anabelle was given by a pretty 'lil laydeh named Snoopy Tang. MUUAHAHAHAHAHAAAHA~!  ✌

✏4. Although she's only 6months old, one of her tooth decided to grow up. =__= that's a 'lil fast, don't you think?

✏6. She is not exactly the outgoing type. She's more to a homey girl. Hopefully she'll still be the same when she grew up.

✏9. Look at them.. It's like they own the baby...pfft~ LOL! Haven't seen me 'live' with Anabelle. I made her go CRRRRRRRAA-ZEHHHHH~

✏10. My mum told me that when I was young, my dad would carry me whole day, play with me, make me laugh..just as what he did with Anabelle. Aawww...such love, i couldn't imagine. ♥

For all the parents out there, congratulations. Ya'll are brave, strong and responsible enough to raise your kids, to provide them whatever they need (and want) as well as to nurture them until they're fully grown.


I wish ya'll the best in this lifetime job and hopefully...your kids WILL understand and appreciate what you'd done for them.

with lots of ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥s Snoopy apologize for the MIA again! LOL! i bet all of you been gone awhile too? for CNY maybe? well to save time..i'll multi task now (waiting for clothes from washing machine + update blog)

well... an early FYI, if i'm gone tomorrow (Val's Day) please don't be mad cause i DON'T CELEBRATE VALENTINE'S DAY...at least for this year! or maybe i can start banning myself from celebrating V day? mmeeeeeeeeeeeehhhkkkk

*ehem ehem* so i went back to Sabah at the very last minute ✈ ✈ ✈!!!!! pheeeeeew..yeah i know i told friends i won't be going back but just the very little tiny bitsy minute i felt like i HAVE to be there...which then of course i have a couple of reasons for me to fly back after all ☺

so...for starters i'll update about me Chinese New Year week with my family and relatives! SERIOUSLY...no friends involved..i didn't bother to go out "bai nian" at friends house or whatever meeting i was invited to :|  sorry much from Snoopy about that! i'm toooooo desparate to spend time with my family and relatives..and TRUST ME...they are MORE THAN ENOUGH to keep me busy all day long, whole week when i was in KK!

i had MASSSSSSSIIIIIIVEEEEE food intake (and output as well..hehehe!! XD) throughout the week and i was OVERLOADED!!! but still can load in...LOL!! but i ate a lot!! like really really A LOTTT!!! cause i was afraid i can't have them after i fly back to KL :( and it's true... so i keep munching on food wherever i go, whatever i see, whenever i'm awake!!! :D happy max!

had lots of fun in KK even though there's a limit of time, too much energy spent, meet up with 0 friends but i'm extremely contented! ✌

oh!!! my belated Christmas post..! but nothing much actually...only home cooked food that i like most!

had dinner at me aunt's place for Chinese Winter Solstice Festival (Guo Tong) and look at those food she prepared! ahhh!!! love max! ♥

on Christmas eve itself, my family went for Japanese cuisine called WOJAMAMA and damn it was awful! i can dang it a million times..! bad restaurant!!
