Talking to a Stranger

Hola!

I renewed my driving license after it was expired for 4 long months lol!. It wasn't intentional....until I saw the queue when I walked into JPJ back in Sabah. Horrible queue. Eventually I went again (PJ branch, though) and the queue was horrible too but not worst. It took me 2 hours to renew a card. Such a waste of time. Thank god it is a good looking card and renewal only happens once in 5 years.

When I was in the process, I had a 5 mins chat with the officer and that 5 mins chat made me wondering a lot about myself. The questions and statements that he made struck me a little..

"Why don't you continue?"

"If you know what you like, you must proceed 'til you get it"

"Age doesn't matter"

My response was just smiles and "yea....". A stranger actually encouraged me to pursue my dream job that I had long buried deep beyond the ground. He was right.. about chasing what I really like but I don't have the courage to take a step ahead. I'm not young any more, why would I go for it now? But then, I have the chance (maybe...) but at least I could try, right?

Beauty Issue #1

I got this Little Love Potion set as I really need to try everything out first before I decide on using the products of their normal size. Another reason is, I seldom doll up for dates. =____= I just dislike REMOVING them. But I'll try to be more hardworking this year XD. So I've tried a couple of them and I love these:-

1. Stay Don't Stray! I just fell in love with it as it easily covers my dark circles! Well, not 100% but so far this is the best concealar to cover up my really really dark circles. It's rare that I DON'T HAVE dark circles even if I slept well and drink lots of water during the day. It just wouldn't go away. But this it really awesome and easy to apply on too!
2. It's Potent! An eye cream, used it to prep my eyes before anything else - eye primer, eye shadow etc. The good thing about it is it moisturises my eye area and I felt slight refreshed by the application. Not a huge difference but great start before the heavy make ups.

I'm gonna try the rest and write about it soon. :)

Grown

Hola!

Each time I think of taking a 2 hours 35 mins flight back to my home is so annoying. But then, each flight I took was worth it. Family is very important, I get that. And don't question me "why would I stay in KL then?". As much as I wanted to go home, I chose not to..for personal reasons.

Going home this time was really fun and enjoyable. Lots of happy photos and less conflicts between relatives. The teenagers have grown into young adults and though, I must admit, there are communication gaps somewhere in between, yet I'm still delighted to see them making the effort to make this festive merrier.

#1 photo was me, my brother, sis-in-law and little cousin. I just love the look on all our faces. Very homey ♥

#2 photo was candid. I love this shot too. It's not a professional photo shoot and not taken with any professional DSLR or camera but I just love to stare at it. I'm always excited to play around with my little cheesy cousin. And she loooooves #selfies much more than I do. XD She looked at the photo and said "Why is my face like that?" Hahaa.. totally made my day!

#3 was food! Enormous amount of food! How can this festive celebrated with Italian or French cuisine portions! Chinese New Year is mainly served with HUGE PORTION of yummy food! And the main reason why I love to stay a little longer back home is for the home cook meals. It will always, alllllllways be the best meals ever.

Things To Do in 2014

Hola! I'm back to KL, started working, with loads of work waiting to be done XD. It's pretty warm and stuffy in KL these days. I can't sleep well at night too. But I had a great week back in Sabah! It's Chinese New Year after all! People preparing for the huge festival - hair, clothes, nails etc. I, of course, spent time.... proly tooooooo much time on my hair. I finally had my first dip dye, after considering about it for a year now wtm. Though it didn't turn out as I expected.

I was so determined on getting my ends with bright purple but the hairstylist explained that. . . . . . . . which I don't really understand. I was soooo confused with whatever reason she gave so I pointed at pink instead *face palm*. I snapped a couple of my shocking pink hair photos but I restored my old apple itunes thingy and the photos were gone. HUGE MISTAKE and I hated my phone for 30mins. =__=

The first photo was after two washes and yea, bleaching really damages the hair. Then I bought a cheapskate purple dye and dyed my ends at home. Turned out I was pretty impressed (with both my skills and the outcome HA HA..). The last photo doesn't show my purple base which only lasted few days. It faded right after two washes. :(

Since my hair is pretty damaged, I tend to try as many colours as I can before I chop the ends off. Hehee! Oh.. and it's currently blue. Happened accidentally. WTM..

Sushi and Friends

Hola!

I have cravings for sushi occasionally, so I do have loads of Japanese cuisine pictures in my folder. Hahaha.. And most of the time, I'll opt for Sushi Zanmai. I know.. it's not the best Japanese restaurant in town but it's easily available. And I do have certain Sushi Zanmai branch preference.

Well I do agree that their food are not always the same standard - freshness, taste,... but for me it's fine. I can't afford expensive meal every time I crave for sushi, right? Boleh lah..

The dishes that I mostly order are:-

1. Soft Shell Crab Maki
2. Sashimi

3. Edamame

4. Salmon Head with Teriyaki Sauce!

5. Salmon Mentai Sushi

6. Salmon Zanmai

7. ...and sometimes I order salad too XD

What's Waiting in 2014

Hola!

I was determined to change myself as a whole in 2013. Obviously I failed to do so, seeing my not-so-much-change in the mirror. But 2014 is and must be a major change! I've tried coming out of my comfort zone  (in 2012) once and it felt so good even I was pretty nervous at that point. Yet, I took it for granted whole the whole 2013. Just wasted like that.

Painting my life with colours for 2014!!!

I took a lot of time surveying and googling and even question myself if I'm good enough to do what I want to do in life. Pretty much inspired by the make up queen, Michelle Phan and certain bloggers that motivates me through their quotes and words, I've decided to take a leap again, now or never. I repeatedly argued with my inner self that I won't be able to make it, that I'm never gonna build my own career/name for myself but then if I don't try it now, when will I be able to try?

But most of my motivation comes from my family - my dad especially. I want to make him proud, not taking any cents from him any more but instead, able to provide for him. He still supports me for my travel expenses and I really do feel bad about it :(

Other than that......................

So pretty!

BAGS! Hahahaha! Bags would totally motivate me to work like a horse day and night!!! Hahahahaa! Well, I do love clothes but I don't have sexy figure or skinny body so, skip that. I'm not into shoes as I barely wear heels thrice a year. Not to mention most of the heels hurts my foot so much! Only slipper or flip flop (or look alike) sandals can satisfy me for now. Make up wise...................working on it. LOL! So bag is THE thing that tickles me. But they are getting pricey year after year. Urrghhh!

I'm pushing myself towards my goal - slowly. Pushing myself with pressure (70% good and 30% bad ones). I foresee that I'll be darn tired but if that's what it takes for me to climb higher, why not? :)

Cheeeh... banyak crite.. Let's see how much I can achieve this year! And if everything doesn't go well........

Can't Wait to Stare!

Hola! Nothing much this time as I'm very busy with work loads. And also CNY is coming very soon so, can't wait to see these babe's results on my hair! Manic Panic is soooo well known that I can't let it go. Hell yeah I'm doing it after soooooo long of consideration! Will write again soon since I've changed my blog's template and I just love how it looks right now! Simple and neat! :) Bye! Oh! Happy Thaipusam!

• Who am I? I'm a Sabahan breed, raised by a strict mum yet lenient dad. Malay educated, speaks English at home, chats in Cantonese with cousins and absolutely no idea where I picked my Mandarin from. Completed high school and STPM in the East Malaysia. Then I continued a DSCAU transfer program in INTI University, Nilai for a year and completed the last 2 years in Northumbria University, UK.

• What's with SNOOPY? I love that cutie beagle! I love him since I was really really young and I will love him til the last breath of my life! My friends DO call me by that name. :)

• What do I do? This is my third year working, and... I've switched quite a lot of jobs within these few years. Tried sales, cold call sales, mentoring, branded handbag sales and now, research assistant at the oldest university in Malaysia. With this current job, I'm proud to say I'm happy with what I do everyday!

• Why blog? I started writing when my friends in Malaysia asked how I was doing in UK and due to the time difference, I couldn't really spend too much time on MSN (old school) or Facebook a lot, detailing everything that happened. So a friend actually introduced me to Blogger and voilà.

Things that I admire:-

1. People with self confidence especially about their body figure. I just don't have the guts to put on a bikini without having imaginary Jessica Alba standing next to me.
2. Pretty hair! Pretty coffee art! Pretty photographies!
3. Steve Job's quote - "The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, You'll know when you find it."

So yeah, that's all I can think of for now. Hopefully I will fill in more details about myself in future...

Catching Time and Stay Positive

Aaarrrrggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK.

 Hola! My phone just died on me (WTM..) few days ago so, I literally bored myself to death. I guess electronics really hate me a lot. No intragram, no LINE, no whatsapp, nothing. I've already sent my phone to be fixed and it will take A MONTH wtm.... What am I going to do with A MONTH? Worst thing is they don't have any replacement phone for me. So I have to dig my very old school phone. Seriously it's O.L.D S.C.H.O.O.L...! *die again*

 Since I have too much time, I might as well write something. :) Oh, I changed my template too. Will change again soon. Have to polish up my template editing skills for future use. Heheh.. For now it's more on bright colours and lots of tiny little cutie things XD

 It's only mid Jan but I'm tired as hell! Mostly due to work, work and more work. Imagine having two jobs and another one coming up (proly next month!). And I miss my workout time! Not in a gym or something but I did workout at home but now I grab all my spare time to sleep! Wtm!

 Okay.. Enough of rantings for now... -___- *breathe in breathe out*

 A couple of pictures (which I took myself LOL) interest me. Not because of the photos, but because of what I captured. I went to Plan b, Ipoh for the New Year and I find it pretty different from the Plan b I went in KL. This branch here is very much dedicated to the late Yasmin Ahmad. Everything is so delicate and detailed and there are lots of emotions around the restaurant.

 And all of the sudden, Mr.A found a pup scattering around. Hahaha.. looking for fun, I assume.

 Mr.A's car broke down week ago and there were warning signals popping up one by one but both of us had no idea what are those signals meant so I googled I regretted that I did.................... Complicated much? o_O So beware if you don't really understand about high maintenance cars, you should have this image on your phone, just in case.

Mini 2014

Hola!

Just a very short post as I'm dashing off to my work! Working on weekends...pfft!But .....

HEEEEEEEELLOOOOOOOO 2014!!!! 

Woohoo!! Another year to be filled with lots of excitements and happenings and writings and work! Just to say I'm having both full and part time job..which (I know) will consume most of my life in 2014 but I have to. I have so much goals to achieve this year and I'm not a teenager anymore. I don't have extra time to waste! And as for this 5 year old-to-be blog, I'm gonna revamp it again into a new different one!

So my few last moments in 2013 were just pretty simple..

• Company trip to Laman Pesona in Raub, Pahang,
• Christmas Eve celebration in CHCKL with friends and Mr.A,
• Walk around shopping mall on weekends..

LOL! Super boring (ikr!!!!) but HUGE change in 2014! *fingers crossed*
